Two people are a service choice, not a lifting guarantee

Large sofas, cabinets and bulky flat-pack orders may benefit from a two-person crew. The number of handlers is still determined by item weight, carrying distance and the access route. A very heavy item or a narrow staircase may need extra equipment or a different plan. Share dimensions and photos rather than assuming that two people can safely handle any object.

Agree where the delivery ends

Clarify whether the quotation covers the kerb, entrance, a ground-floor room or another floor. Supply stair and lift measurements, any building rules and a receiving contact. Assembly, unpacking, old-furniture removal and external lifting are separate tasks unless expressly included. On the day, clear the carrying route and keep children or pets away from the work area.

What we need to prepare your quote

  • Weight and dimensions for each item
  • Floor and carrying distance
  • Staircase and lift measurements
  • Kerbside or room-of-choice delivery

A clear scope before collection

The quotation is based on the actual load and service requirements. Tell us about stairs, lifts, the walking distance from the vehicle, fragile items and any fixed delivery slot. Packing, assembly, storage, specialist equipment and customs handling are included only when expressly confirmed in your quotation. Sending an enquiry does not reserve a vehicle or create a booking.

Check that the service matches the job

Use Two-person furniture delivery when the shipment is genuinely defined by Two-person furniture delivery. Confirm the cargo or inventory, route, dates, access and expected handover before comparing quotations. A service label does not automatically include packing, extra labour, storage, customs work or inside placement.

Give both sites the same instructions

Provide collection and delivery postcodes, contacts, opening hours, stairs or loading-bay details, parking limits and the equipment available. Add packed dimensions and gross weight for freight, or a room-by-room inventory and large-item measurements for a move.

Confirm the written scope

The accepted quotation should identify capacity, handling, dates, optional work and known access assumptions. Declare regulated, fragile, high-value or temperature-sensitive goods before booking. An enquiry allows the team to assess the job but does not reserve a vehicle.
