Request temperature-controlled transport for cargo with defined handling conditions. State the product, required temperature range and monitoring requirements before a vehicle is selected.
Start with the product specification
Different goods require different temperature and handling conditions. Share the required range, shipment weight, packaging and any compatibility restrictions. Tell us whether the goods are already at the required temperature and describe loading conditions at both ends. A refrigerated vehicle is not a substitute for suitable product preparation, and a particular certification or validated procedure must never be assumed from the service name.
Agree the monitoring and the handover
Specify whether you need temperature records, a particular sensor arrangement or evidence at delivery. Include expected loading time, site rules and instructions if there is a temperature excursion or delay. The suitable vehicle and service are confirmed after reviewing the cargo. Pharmaceutical, food and other controlled shipments may need additional checks; acceptance is subject to the actual requirements being agreed.
What we need to prepare your quote
- Product and temperature range
- Weight, packaging and readiness
- Monitoring and certification requirements
- Loading duration and exception contact
A clear scope before collection
The quotation is based on the actual load and service requirements. Tell us about stairs, lifts, the walking distance from the vehicle, fragile items and any fixed delivery slot. Packing, assembly, storage, specialist equipment and customs handling are included only when expressly confirmed in your quotation. Sending an enquiry does not reserve a vehicle or create a booking.
Check that the service matches the job
Use Refrigerated transport when the shipment is genuinely defined by Refrigerated transport. Confirm the cargo or inventory, route, dates, access and expected handover before comparing quotations. A service label does not automatically include packing, extra labour, storage, customs work or inside placement.
Give both sites the same instructions
Provide collection and delivery postcodes, contacts, opening hours, stairs or loading-bay details, parking limits and the equipment available. Add packed dimensions and gross weight for freight, or a room-by-room inventory and large-item measurements for a move.
Confirm the written scope
The accepted quotation should identify capacity, handling, dates, optional work and known access assumptions. Declare regulated, fragile, high-value or temperature-sensitive goods before booking. An enquiry allows the team to assess the job but does not reserve a vehicle.
